Our group is committed to providing free and open data access. Datasets included in the ROWLRS ERDDAP are provided by Rutgers professors and collaborators, each with their own methods, often for different purposes, and should be treated as such. Therefore, please pay careful attention to the metadata. If you use these data please use professional courtesy and recognize that although these data are being provided at no charge, the collection of these data was expensive; for any research that uses someone’s dataset in its entirety or publications or policy reports that use this data substantially, the data user should contact relevant dataset owners and/or the database manager (ecosystemdata@marine.rutgers.edu) and offer co-authorship where appropriate, and users may not redistribute these data without credit/citation.
